mDialog Announces Production Deals to Deliver High-Resolution Online Programming

Jan 17, 2008 02:00PM EST

Company’s Cutting-Edge Technology Offers a Unique Opportunity for Filmmakers to Distribute Content and Directly Engage Audiences

SAN FRANCISCO (Macworld), Jan. 17, 2008 – Web video company mDialog is quickly emerging as the place to go for video programmers and producers seeking an online, high resolution distribution platform for original content. As one of the industry's leading web video innovators, mDialog today announced from the 2008 Macworld Expo that it will be launching original programming as well as showcasing content from leading producers across its LIFE, ARTS and PLANET networks.

mDialog's delivery platform provides high resolution image and sound as well as advanced social networking capabilities for delivery on Apple video devices including iPhone, iPod Touch, iPod, AppleTV, Mac as well as PCs.

Original programming that mDialog will be developing and co-producing include:

  • TAGLINE (A Jane Dorian Company production) – The provocative new mockumentary series about life inside the advertising industry – the good, the bad and the side-splittingly funny.
  • COOKING TO GET LUCKY (Family Portion Productions) – Hosted by Emmy award-winning actor Eden Riegel from "All My Children" and talk show celebrity Bob Guiney, a humorous take on cooking to impress that potential mate.
  • PSYCHED (A Psyched production) – Noted psychologist and television commentator Dr. Paul Schienberg's new informative series delves into the fascinating and complex world of sports psychology with his unique blend of humor and celebrity clients.

mDialog has also been chosen by leading content providers to be its showcase for distribution. New programming to appear on mDialog includes content from The Nightingale Company, a Canadian film, TV, and new media production company and UNICEF TV.

New series appearing include:

  • DO YOU BELIEVE ME (The Nightingale Company, beActive) – Intended for teens and pre-teens, this series crosses the boundaries traditionally drawn between online entertainment, televised entertainment, online gaming, and real life adventure.
  • UNICEF TELEVISION – Beginning with videos produced by the Kabataan News Network (KNN), a network of young people in the Philippines, offerings will include programming from around the world aimed at children and young adults.

"mDialog is one of the newest platforms created for producers to achieve widespread distribution and is the place where audiences can go to watch some of the freshest new programming available," said mDialog Founder and President Greg Philpott. "We believe mDialog is a winning solution for independent filmmakers, production companies and audiences alike."
