mLoader™ cuts H.264 video encode/upload times in half

Developed in partnership with Elgato Systems, the new Mac version of mLoader takes full advantage of Elgato's new Turbo.264 HD hardware accelerator. When used in tandem with Elgato's easy-to-use USB-based accelerator, mLoader rapidly encodes three MPEG 264-4/H.264 versions of your video, each optimized for playback on mobile, web and HD devices. During initial testing, the mDialog team has seen performance increases in the range of 40% to 60%, and in some cases, has even achieved faster than real-time HD encoding.

"We started mDialog with a core principle that, if you want to get your HD video into the cloud and ready to play on all screens, it just makes sense to encode on the desktop and not in the cloud," says Philpott. "Why even attempt to try and upload a multi-gigabyte file only to have it wait in a queue to crunch it cloud-side?"

Just by downloading the mLoader H.264 Beta for free from mDialog.com and inserting the Elgato Turbo.264 HD accelerator in the USB slot, the video encoding process is made even quicker.
