What is mDialog?

mDialog gives you the power to cost effectively share the highest quality video of any size or length on the Internet. You control if you want to broadcast it to everyone or you can use our Narrowcast feature to only share with those that you allow. Now you can share your sensitive corporate content or your own video library with only people you want to.

Our innovative mLoader software empowers you to easily encode, describe and upload h.264 high-resolution right from your desktop. The video is instantly optimized for the web as well as the iPhone, iPod and Apple TV. Best of all, mLoader does the work client-side so your content goes live as soon as it is finished. No waiting!

Uploading

Uploading video to mDialog is as easy as 1–2–3. Using our innovative mLoader software, you can add h.264 high-resolution video from your desktop, use the scrubber to create a thumbnail for the video, and upload it straight to your library or a channel of your choice.

Sharing

Broadcasting

Ready to share your videos with the world? With mDialog, you can share content that is downloadable to Macs and Apple video devices such as iPhone, iPod, and Apple TV—as well as PCs. To make things even easier, your public channel can be subscribed to via iTunes or an RSS reader of your choice.

Narrowcasting

If you want to limit your channel to a select audience, try our Narrowcasting feature, which allows you to enter e-mail addresses for users that you want to see your content. Nobody other than those who you've contacted will be able to see those videos.

Collaborate

When you create a new channel, you'll be given the option to lock it and keep out contributions from other users, or keep it open for users who want to add videos. You'll retain full editorial control, so even if you decide to leave the channel open, you can always remove videos that you don't thing belong there - even if they were added by other users.

If you're a user who wants to contribute your video to a channel, click on the 'COLLABORATE' button on the channel's main page to be taken through the process. If the button isn't there, that means the channel owner is not accepting contributions.

Embedding

All public videos on mDialog can be embedded within your website or blog with our versatile embedded player, which features a scrolling view of all the other videos in your channel along the bottom, as well as Survey, Chat, and all the other unique social features that help make mDialog what it is.

Feeds

RSS: All mDialog channels have their own RSS feed which you can add to the reader of your choice.

iTunes: All mDialog channels can be subscribed to via iTunes.

The Good Stuff

You may already know that mDialog brings you the best in hi-res online video, but we're always looking for ways to build a better service, so here are a few new features that we've developed that we want you to check out. We've got surveys, a hi-res embeddable video player, RSS and iTunes feeds, and soon, a Pay Per Channel option to help you earn money from your videos.

Your thoughts and feedback are always welcome, so if you have any input or suggestions (or even if you just want to say hi), please write to us at

Surveys

It's never been easier to talk to your audience. With mDialog, you can build a fully customizable survey right into your video and poll your viewers on just about anything you can imagine. Better still, the survey goes wherever your video does—even when it's embedded on a blog or another site—and the results are displayed right there in the player.

Collaborate

Looking for a way to invite other content owners to contribute to a channel that you've created? Well, mDialog is offering you a more open environment for your media with the new COLLABORATE function, which allows you to make your channels open for video contributions from other users! To contribute to an open channel, click on the COLLABORATE button below the main channel image. If the channel owner has locked the channel, the button will not appear.

Embed

With our new high-resolution embeddable player, you'll be able to embed an entire channel on your page with just one bit of code. The embedded video that you've picked appears in the main window, and the scrolling window below will hold thumbnails of all your channel's other videos. Cooler still: If your video has a survey attached to it, that comes along for the ride too!

RSS/iTunes feeds

All mDialog content can now be synced with the RSS reader or feed distribution service of your choice. Just click the 'RSS' button in your browser's address window to get the link.

RSS feeds will allow users to keep on top of regularly updated channels like yours, so they'll know the moment you add new content.

iTunes feeds work in a similar fashion—just click on the "Add to iTunes" button on any channel page and watch as the content syncs automatically with your computer's iTunes client. This even works with Private or Narrowcast content - you'll just have to enter the password to authenticate.
